DONOR CARE OFFICER - PERMANENT CONTRACT
Cork Simon Community is Cork?s largest homeless charity. Our goal is
to prevent and end homelessness in Cork by helping people to access
affordable housing and, at the same time, support people to address
the many challenges and difficulties that may have contributed to them
becoming homeless. Cork Simon believes that everyone should have fair
access to safe, secure and affordable housing.
The Fundraising Department at Cork Simon is working to deliver an
ambitious strategy to ensure future funding to support the
organisation in continuing its essential services and is now seeking
to recruit a Donor Care Officer.
The successful candidate will be joining a successful fundraising team
who work well together but also enjoy autonomy over their own
workloads. This role will suit someone who likes varied and
interesting work, achieving targets, meeting people and being part of
the solution to homelessness.

Our Fundraising Department puts donors at the heart of everything we
do. Working as part of the?DONOR ENGAGEMENT TEAM, the?DONOR CARE
OFFICER?will play a critical role in providing our donors with the
best experience possible to enable the Donor Engagement Team to meet
ambitious income targets. The role would suit a strong administrator
with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build
relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
* Provide an excellent donor experience ensuring that interactions
with donors convey appreciation for the support that they give Cork
Simon.
* Processing donations on CRM database, maintain and update donor
records ensuring compliance with GDPR.
* Administer Cork Simon?s tax efficient giving programme to
maximise income.
* Provide administrative support for the delivery of Cork Simon?s
Direct Marketing Programme.
* Support the delivery of an annual calendar of donor-focused
events.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
* Interpersonal, relationship building and customer service skills.
* Strong administrative and organisational skills.
* Ability to deliver attention to detail, quality and accuracy in a
busy environment without compromising on donor care.
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
* Numerical accuracy.
* Full clean driver?s licence and access to own car.
